Perfect Blackjack Rules
This is one of the blackjack variations that have the normal blackjack rules, spiced up with the possibility of placing Perfect Pairs side bet. The game can be played with two, four and five decks of 52 cards and the dealer always stands on soft 17. Some game variations differ in the doubling options the player has. For example, at some casinos players can double on any given hand, while at some the player can only double on 9-11.
Usually, the game starts with the player placing the regular blackjack bet and then he may choose to place a Perfect Pair bet. After this, the dealer starts dealing the first two rounds of cards. Two face-up cards are given to the player and one face up plus one face down card is dealt to the dealer. This is the moment when the Perfect Pairs bet is won or lost. If the player has received a mixed, coloured or a perfect pair, he gets his payout on the side bet and the game continues. If there is no pair, the side bet is lost and the game continues as well.
The player can also place an insurance bet and the dealer may peek for a blackjack or not, depending on the casino at which the game is played. Surrender is not an option when playing Perfect Blackjack. Later on, the player can decide to hit, stand, double or split cards. The objective is scoring a 21 and beating the dealer's hand. Split Ace and a ten are not considered to be a blackjack, but a 21 and it will not beat a dealer blackjack.
The House Edge
As in every other blackjack game, this game has certain rules that can affect the overall house edge. Since the game is usually played with two, four or five decks of 52 cards, the house edge can be 0.35% – 0.44%. Of course, there are other factors that also change the house edge. For example, the player's ability to double on any hand or only on 9-11 increases or lowers the house edge drastically. In any case, the dealer stands on soft 17, while he can or cannot peek for a blackjack, depending on the particular casino rules.
Side Bets – Perfect Pair
Perfect Pairs Blackjack Las Vegas
Perfect Blackjack is a blackjack variation that allows players to place up to five blackjack bets and up to five side bets. Since the basic blackjack rules apply, after the first two cards are dealt, the player may place an insurance bet. However, what makes this game special is the Perfect Pairs side bet that is placed before any card is given to the player. There are three payout levels when it comes to the Perfect Pairs bet: a mixed pair made of one red-suited and one black suited card is paid 5:1, a coloured pair of two same cards sharing the same colour pays 10:1 and the Perfect Pair made of two identical cards has a 30:1 payout.

Winning Strategy
Because of the many rule variations, there is no single Perfect Blackjack strategy. However, some of the basic blackjack strategy rules apply. In this paragraph, you can read the optimal strategy for playing with two decks, no surrender and no peek for blackjack, doubling on 9-11 and dealer stands on soft 17 rules. For the start, the player should consider doubling when the dealer holds 2-9, while he has hard 9, 10, 11 and a pair of fives. An exception is a situation in which the player has hard 9 and the dealer 7, 8 or 9. In this case, the best option is to hit.
To stand is advisable every time the player has hard 17+, soft 9, 10 and a pair of tens, no matter what the dealer's card is. The player is advised to stand whenever he has hard 12-16 and the dealer holds 2-6, except in situations when the dealer has 2 or 3 and the player has hard 12. Soft 8 across dealer's 2-8 is also a good sign to stand. The player should stand with 9-9 in his hand if the dealer shows 7, 10 or Ace.
Perfect Pairs Blackjack Strategy
If the player holds hard 5-16 he should consider hit as the best move, regardless the dealer's hand. Of course, this rule applies unless differently stated in the text above. Hit on soft 3-7 is always a good option, whatever the dealer's card is. Pairs of twos, threes, fours, fives, sixes, sevens and eights are great motivators for the player to hit. Some exceptions are pairs of twos and threes when the dealer has 4-7 and the best option is to split. Same goes for 8-8 and 9-9 with the dealer showing 10 or Ace. The player should always split Aces, while 6-6 and 7-7 should be split unless the dealer receives 7-10 or Ace.
